The men’s top overall seed Gonzaga qualified for the Elite 8 in the NCAA basketball tournament, blasting past No. 5 seeded Creighton on Sunday, 83-65. Gonzaga is now one victory away from becoming the first undefeated team to make it into the Final Four since Kentucky in 2015. Another No. 1 seed, Michigan, also moved on with a win over Florida State, a No. 4 seed. In the women’s tournament, South Carolina advanced to the Elite 8 with a win over Georgia Tech. Stanford, the top overall seed in the women’s bracket, joined them by dispatching Missouri State. UConn, Baylor, Arizona, and Indiana, who knocked off top-seeded North Carolina State, also advanced.
